I’ve been a professional touring and recording drummer/partner/business manager for the band Delta Rae for over 11 years. Without direct industry connections, we took the band from the woods of NC playing for friends/family to a million-dollar company.
Since 2009, Delta Rae has been signed to two major labels, traveled the world several times over, and became the highest grossing band on Kickstarter after going independent in 2019. We have been honored as: VH1 artist of the month, guests of honor at the 2012 Obama Inauguration, Forbes 30 Under 30, and have performed on several major late night shows.
When we left Warner Brothers Records and signed with Big Machine Records, our vocalists went on a radio tour. In 2018 with an unprecedented 3 months off the road, I founded and started two successful companies: the award-winning BaldMan Percussion and Drum Team Collective: Rock and Roll Team Building. Both companies gained the attention of dream clients in our respective arenas, and when touring continued, I learned how to delegate responsibilities to partners and teammates.
In 2020, when our entire industry shut down, Delta Rae decided to once again take a creative leap. We created a virtual world for fans to explore, full of artifacts, songs, virtual concerts, and Netflix-style TV shows created by each band member called “Behind The Door”. This pivot created a revenue stream that sustained us during the pandemic, and will continue to provide revenue for years to come.
